@ThomasByrneTD@FAIreland@fiannafailparty Hopefully this funding won't be from the National Childcare Scheme pot. Early Educators are earning barely above the minimum wage. We cannot afford to dilute and divert childcare funding to fund sports clubs. Recognise, value and pay our educators fairly!!!
Bord na Móna Recycling should not be sold off but rather developed as the motor of a new public domestic waste collection service.
Our members are calling for an immediate halt to this ill-thought-out privatisation attempt. It is time to put the common good before private sector profits.
@kennymick74@pobal @dcediy @rodericogorman Totally agree. All for TUSLA visits being unannounced, that's for safety but an admin inspection is a whole different story!
Let's not let the promise of public childcare slip through our fingers!
Sign our petition and tell the @SimonHarrisTD and his government to fix low pay in Budget 2025!
It’s time to support our dedicated early years educators and pay them properly!

Low pay has to be tackled once and for all in the Early Years Sector.
The staff turnover rate now stands at 25% per year.
This undermines quality for children and the viability of services.
Educators NEED change and a FAIR wage! #Budget2025

@AishlingSilke My sisters child's service has done this. Putting a gun to parents heads as supply is difficult to find and parents need to work. How can they justify such huge increases in prices? 20-40% is beyond inflation.
As I sit on my holidays doing paperwork, NCS returns, signing up to funding agreements so that we have jobs to return to, I contemplate is it any wonder so many managers and educators are reaching burnout. Rapid change is needed.
This Saturday in Liberty Hall, Dublin Early Years educators and managers will come together to discuss the major issues facing the sector.

@IrishTimes Unlike in primary school the books are for a 3 year cycle therefore the children need access to them for 3 years not one! Hence costs won't reduce until year 4! Or will parents have to purchase another set of books to ensure children have access to study materials?
