What a great night! Earth Engineering Inc. joined the ABC Eastern PA Chapter at their 35th Annual Excellence in Construction Gala at Presidential Caterers.
EEI, along with our subcontractor, is investigating in the basement of a historical structure to determine the nature of existing voided soils. The tripod rig set-up can be used in very difficult site conditions where standard test boring drilling rigs cannot access.
EEI has been on site inspecting the installation of a Soil Nail Wall for the Support of Excavation (SOE) for a new school. EEI also designed the Soil Nail Wall, performed the initial Geotechnical Investigation, and completed the Phase I ESA and Clean Fill testing for the site.

Once settlement was completed, a shotcrete fascia supported by soil nails was constructed, providing the permanent fascia for the retaining walls. EEI’s design solution provided approximately $5 million savings from a pile supported retaining wall originally anticipated.
The Extension of Mantua Boulevard for the Rowan University Fossil Park project in Gloucester County, New Jersey was selected as the Outstanding Civil Engineering Project of the Year by the South Jersey Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
EEI’s design anticipated that the MSE walls would settle as much as 30 centimeters once the 11-meter-tall walls were constructed, requiring a flexible temporary fascia.
