The Minister praised the group’s significant contribution to the Executive Programme on Paramilitarism and Organised Crime (EPPOC) through a range of community-based interventions.

Economy Minister Dr @CArchibald_SF was guest speaker this morning at a @EastSidePship seminar - “Future East – How can East Belfast achieve Sustainable and Inclusive Growth?”

The event was structured around five Community Wealth Building pillars, including plural ownership, fair employment, progressive procurement and the socially just use of land and property.

The Minister said: “With its proud industrial heritage and strong community spirit, East Belfast is well placed to lead the way in community wealth building - ensuring growth is inclusive, locally rooted and delivers for everyone.

“Through investment in social enterprises, co-operatives and employee ownership, alongside place-based pilots and our Social Enterprise Action Plan, we are supporting more resilient local economies and creating good jobs.”
