It’s that time of the year again! We are serving nutritious chicken kanji for Iftar at the Marble Beach Mosque for over 300 families for the next 10 days. We thank the community leaders for their dedication and support which allows us to provide iftar to such a large community.
Started the year right by reading @eathappySL's newsletter about all the amazing work they've done. It's good to know that, even as those in power fail us, we can always help each other 💞
Happy 2023 everyone!
We are so grateful for your support in 2022. Community Meal Share is a testament to what this nation can achieve when we work together towards a common goal.
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas!
We also want to send out a big thank you to our communities, donors, volunteers and well wishers for supporting us to bring a warm meal to the tables of Sri Lankans this year.
This delivery went out to our Borella community last night. Thanks to your generous contributions we get to provide chicken/ fish, egg, dhal and a vegetable, ensuring that our communities receive the highest amount of protein and nutrition during these difficult times.
We hope we can see this project through till 2023. A big thank you to the school principals, the Zonal directors, teachers for supporting us and more importantly the lovely parents who have committed to cook for the students multiple times a week.
//A recent report found that children from one in seven households have dropped out. Government data shows that millions of children are not getting school meals. Only Rs 60 has been allocated for a school meal.// by @Renishkaaa@TimesOnlineLK#SriLanka

I’m really pleased that I got a valuable opportunity last week, to join a team from ‘#Community#Meal Share Trust’ to collectively distribute 450 meals to a community in Wellawatta.
