@KuntyCatz@J_A_Fernie look you two children. Do yer homework!! Have you checked how many ‘whites’ are in, for example, Sydney recently 🤓? do you really want them all to return to their ancestors ties?
@J_A_Fernie@J_A_Fernie would love to chat more to understand about your politics, and how the hell you hang all this rubbish about ‘our people’ together !🤓
@J_A_Fernie you are being silly, who are ‘our’ people FFS. Do you want all Scots repatriated from our diaspora you eejit
Try better stop string your thoughts together
@sianberry So you believe you know better than the disability rights groups, the palliative care doctors, the psychiatrists, the eating disorder charities and campaigners who all say that this particular bill is not safe? Are you happy to be accountable for the deaths that result from this?
@EdnaKrabapple1@Emma_Seith@scotgov@COSLA and BTW i didn’t say it ‘worked well’ for my child…it was a hell hole. Mainly because of shocking teacher attitudes, not because of my child’s ASN
@EdnaKrabapple1@AndieG99@Emma_Seith@scotgov@COSLA yes we are!U seemed 2 b blaming the rights agenda rather than looking at the structural issue.good healthy democracy requires exchange of ideas, critique & counter arguments so 🙌for allowing me 2unpack the issues, & respectfully #presumptionofmainstream is not the problem 🥰✊
@AndieG99@Emma_Seith spot on! I couldn’t agree more it is possible, most teachers I know want to be part of making local schools work for local children. Not sending them out of area because the alternative is hellish.
@Eating4love@AndieG99@Emma_Seith@scotgov@COSLA I have family experience of this issue and the presumption of mainstream doesn't work for all. Some children need specialist support & an environment that works for their needs. You can't always get that in mainstream.
@EdnaKrabapple1@AndieG99@Emma_Seith@scotgov@COSLA so would you remove UNCRC and Equality Act and UN Person with Disability Rights? Because they all back up the rights enshrined in Standards in Scotland Schools Act? Would you remove the ‘presumption’ clause?
@EdnaKrabapple1@AndieG99@Emma_Seith@scotgov@COSLA Hv u lived in a rural area? There are no ‘ASN/special schools’ just the ‘local school’ working with children with complex health&behaviour needs.ASN sector does v well for some families but some have had horrible experiences in both. Presumption a legal right that needs 2stay!
@EdnaKrabapple1@AndieG99@Emma_Seith@scotgov@COSLA It may not b intention I am picking up on discourse. my own child has ASN. More staff development is needed. research evidence does not support ‘special education’, so the presumption of mainstream is appropriateYou need to change attitudes and fund the whole system properly.
@Dawnf1 @dollybeads7 @Teachers4Perm there’s also an over supply of new PGDE teachers. This means the workforce is being filled with probation teachers only to be replaced next year…cheap when you do the math.
