Nicola Sturgeon posing for photos at Auschwitz.
I always thought she was a nasty piece of work (just ask Wendy Alexander) but surely anyone with a brain must have seen this and thought:
“No. Just no.”
I’ve been to Auschwitz and the last thing on your mind is a photo.

There’s at least 12 large professional charities in Ireland allegedly assisting the homeless. All have highly paid CEO’s and staff. All receive millions from us ,the taxpayer. All but one should be closed down.
I miss the wordsmith. Durkan had a sharp eye for detail that’s missing in our politics today. He wasn’t a natural leader, but post-GFA nationalism needs more people with his mastery of the fine print & awareness of its import.
A woman who ‘identified’ as a man was raped after being transferred to an all-male psych ward. This is the horror of gender self-ID. The NHS has put trans lunacy above keeping patients safe, says Georgina Mumford

"Jim McDowell’s funeral took place at the weekend and, while his death is above all an immense loss to his family, I am not at all sure if journalism in particular and life in general is ever going to be quite the same again.
"McDowell – the unmistakable voice at the other end of a telephone line only ever used the surname to identify himself, so I will do the same – was a giant of the newspaper industry, as the warm tributes to him have confirmed."

We need to ask an uncomfortable question:
Why do some female students in University College Dublin @ucddublin feel there is a culture of fear around speaking about sex-based rights?
Lets look back at how we got here, spoiler alert, senior government politician involved...
Hat tip to the redoubtable police historian Jim Herlihy for this one. This is the 1926 Irish census form for Canadian prime minister @MarkJCarney's great grandparents Patrick and Bridget Carney from Aughagower, Co Mayo. At that time Mark Carney's grandfather Robert, who was one of the first gardaí, had already emigrated to Canada to take up a position in Vancouver. He eventually joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. In the right hand side of the census Patrick Carney writes the word three for the number of children he and his wife have had as only two are listed in the census.
Important to remember the contribution that former Assistant Commissioner John O’Driscoll played as part of the efforts to arrest Daniel Kinahan. His outreach work with the UAE authorities has led to this day, May he rest in peace
