What a great EB-chat today! First of all @kat_clayton1 gave us feedback from the incredibly successful @PGLSS_UoE virtual poster conference! Great to hear that the posters reached a global audience! 🌍 The next conference is 1st - 3rd June 2021 so get your posters ready!!
Finally we heard from @bentemperton with a great talk on how his work has transitioned from marine viruses to genomic surveillance of COVID19🧬 So interesting seeing the mapping of outbreaks of different strains of COVID19 and how these techniques can be used for other research!
In need of something to get you through the mid-week hump? Join us at 14:30 on Teams to hear from @kat_clayton1 about the success of the @PGLSS_UoE virtual poster conference, @ColvinMarine about her research on oil spills, and @bentemperton about his shift to applied research!
Thanks for great chairing @ColvinMarine! The next #ebchat will be on the 10th June at 14:30. We have an empty slot so if you would like to present please get in touch!
Thank you so much to everyone who joined us today. Wonderful talk by @MLMichelsen with some excellent tips from her Grandma! And thank you to @arb213ross for his fantastic talk, beautiful slides and also his perseverance despite technical issues!
Some exciting announcements too: midnight tonight is the deadline to submit an abstract for the @PGLSS_UoE online poster conference next week

Huge thanks to @TEDTalks for featuring my @TEDxExeter talk: How Ocean Noise Destroys Marine Ecosystems. It was a great honour to share my group's work with the world. In our lifetimes we can fundamentally change the soundtrack of the ocean for the better! https://t.co/SfqT47HtVe
