Are you a current employee or ex-employee at a big AI firm? Worried about superintelligent AI? Consider starting an "International Association of Concerned AI Scientists". I think this might really move the needle on stopping the AI race.
@So8res@Jambac311 Imagine an association of ex-employees from big AI firms such as OpenAI and Anthropic. Such an association could lobby world leaders in this way, begging them to shut things down. This association seems easier to achieve, and might have similar levels of clout/moral authority.
@fabularasa02@emilykmay Well, my mom sent me an email 3 days ago saying she really appreciated me calling her and something I said was a sweet help.
How about you? Are you ever kind or empathetic to men?
@__Injaneb96 I agree with Trump here. To achieve peace, you have to stop the endless settling of scores. Everyone will always say one more punch is justified.
@emilykmay I'm not sure why you are talking about men who think they should be able to fuck whenever. Seems to undermine your grandstanding about how empathy is just the right thing to do. We seem to agree that empathy shouldn't be extended universally.
@emilykmay I think people are owed a certain basic level of respect, but I'm not going to bend over backwards showing kindness and empathy to a person who doesn't appreciate it when there are 8 billion other humans on the planet I could spend time and energy being nice to.
@emilykmay@SockPerez Thanks for answering my question.
Nonetheless, she married a guy who claims he first thought about how people were feeling at age 34. That's still an interesting life choice. I think there is more going on here than meets the eye.
@SockPerez@emilykmay I asked a polite question. No one answered it, but I've been personally attacked twice.
Is this the sort of behavior which is suggested in the relationship book that Emily is reading?
This is how you behave when you've learned to consider how others feel?
@nathaneitingon@Evan_EveryDay@havivrettiggur I'm in favor of cutting off Israel completely. I don't think an alliance with you makes sense from either a strategic or a moral perspective. I think this is a common opinion among the younger generation.
Everyone in the Middle East is a bad guy. We don't need to be involved.
@MaxNordau@RoKhanna If Israel is prosecuting this war in such a clean way, why are they killing so many journalists? Wouldn't it be better for the journalists to stay alive so your claims could be substantiated?

When these images circulated, I was asked, as a neutral party, to adjudicate a bet on whether they were real x-rays. My conclusion after close examination and consultation with independent specialists is that they were. See replies for the assessment.

@yucesensei @iamkashish30 @america Cricketophile said America is the biggest enemy of mankind. If that was true, I should think we ought to be able to reverse some of the good trends in the image I gave. Instead, we accelerated them. Pathetic attempt, really.
@thatguybg The US will be fine. We have a nuclear arsenal, our own oil, and oceans on both sides.
The US has deep negative global approval. People want a multi-polar world. The Middle East is not our business. Israel and Iran are both bad guys. No good guys to support there.
Cyber what?
@GeoRacerR@MyUnveiledTruth "You know a little about geopolitics. That means you must not be a white American. White Americans are totally clueless about geopolitics."
I think most white Americans are too smart to engage in this type of self-own. So yeah, Pakistani bot confirmed.
