Dear Ministers,
Going forward, we may need to rediscover the ministry of the CLOSED DOOR.
Not every meeting needs a camera.
Not every conversation needs an audience.
Not every revelation needs a livestream.
And perhaps the question we should begin asking is:
WHO EXACTLY ARE WE LIVESTREAMING TO?
Jesus ministered to multitudes, but He did not give everybody equal access.
There were the 5,000.
There were the 70.
There were the 12.
And there were the 3.
Peter, James and John saw things others did not see.
The Transfiguration was not livestreamed.
Jairus’ daughter’s room was not opened to the crowd.
Gethsemane had levels of access.
Jesus could speak publicly to the multitude and then privately explain things to His disciples.
Why?
Because PUBLICITY IS NOT THE SAME THING AS IMPACT.
Paul understood this too.
When he wanted to deliver one of the most consequential pastoral addresses of his ministry, he sent for the elders of the church at Ephesus. Acts 20:17.
It was targeted.
It was relational.
It was weighty.
The risen Lord had messages specifically addressed to the seven churches in Asia. Revelation 2–3.
Paul wrote Timothy to Timothy.
Luke wrote Theophilus to Theophilus.
Scripture itself teaches us that sometimes the audience is part of the message.
Our generation must therefore resist the strange assumption that if something happened and the internet did not see it, somehow it did not happen.
Some meetings should have no cameras.
Some conversations should have no clips.
Some instructions should remain within the room.
Some sacred moments should never become content.
Because in our desperation to trend, we may unwittingly have turned pearls into content and then complained when people who were never the intended audience mishandled them.
Jesus warned:
“Do not...cast your pearls before swine.” Matthew 7:6.
The problem is not always the pearl.
Sometimes the problem is the audience.
And algorithms do not discern audiences.
They distribute.
Perhaps the next great move of God will require ministers secure enough to have powerful meetings that nobody online knows happened.
No livestream.
No clips.
No viral moments.
No pressure to prove that something happened.
Just God.
His people.
His Word.
His presence.
His instructions.
And the fruit will eventually speak.
We will have serious meetings again.
We will close some doors again.
We will recover sacred spaces again.
And we will do valiantly.
Enough said.
May October bring you good news, open doors, divine direction, peace and testimonies.
Congratulations!
Welcome to the month of October.
Happy New Month!
The sea will obey you, and you will not be stranded this month. Every step you take shall be ordered by God, and every door you knock shall be opened unto you, in the name of Jesus Christ.
@drpaulenenche More Grace Sir.
The idiots who keep seeing the church as their problem won't see this and make it trend. Whether they like it or not, whether they make it trend or not, THE CHURCH IS MARCHING ON AND THE GATE OF HELL SHALL NOT PREVAIL.
IT’S A CELEBRATION!
Today, we celebrate a man whose voice has reached nations, whose ministry has raised generations and whose life continues to point people to Christ.
Happy Birthday to our father and leader, Bishop David Oyedepo!
We celebrate you today and always.
Drop your birthday wishes and prayers for Bishop in the comments!
@Habibgajam Well done to the WORKAHOLIC GOVERNOR. God will see him through and help him to finish well. We are seeing him politically go beyond this state.
@Tech_babby I like it.
Give them hot hot
If you don't like our Christ and His kingdom and the activities that powers it,
YOU EITHER KEEP QUIET AND DO WHAT SOOTS YOU BUT DONT EVEN TRY TO DISUADE US OR TALK DOWN ON WHAT WE BELIEVE
I struggled with Masturbation and pornography as a born again Christian for a very long time .
My sexual addiction was beyond the recommended one ..
There is an article I wrote on how I will sneak from school to go and look for sex during KCSE that is how bad /good my sexual urges were .
And by the Grace of God I did overcome it ..
How did I do it ..
I will share it in this article and I hope it will bless someone who has been struggling with these sexual desires .
𝙌𝙪𝙞𝙘𝙠 𝙥𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙖𝙙𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣:
1. It's like pregnancy. It must first be conceived, given time to grow, fed, before it is delivered.
2. There's good addiction (addiction to good things like excellence, prayer, neatness) and there's negative addiction (addiction to evil and sin).
3. It doesn't happen overnight and in most cases, it won't end overnight.
𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:
Exposure to sexually stimulating sights and sounds in;
A. Romantic novels.
B. Movies with sex scenes
C. Songs with obscene and erotic lyrics.
D. Sexual conversations.
E. Pornography sites

1. Winning won't happen by effort and resolutions
2. But it will happen by commitment to controlling the things that you can control
I've been there ,A time I would masturbate even on Sundays before I go to church 💔
When the urge comes, it's so overwhelming and totally difficult to not obey it and indulge.
𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠. The 'urge' in this context is the tipping point where your sensual cup has been filled to the brim or where the pregnancy has been conceived, you'll give birth. It's usually difficult to win at this point. Winning is by stopping conception.
𝙌𝙪𝙞𝙘𝙠 𝙥𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙚 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙙𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣.
1. Guilt will keep you trapped in the cycle. Accept God's forgiveness. Refuse to label yourself by your struggle.
2. Don't run from God, run to Him. Saying "I just sinned I can't face God" is like saying "I just fell inside mud, I'm too dirty for water".
3. Be willing to sacrifice your favourite secular song, adhere to strict measures, watch movies with 🆉🅴🆁🅾 sex scenes. This is you refusing to conceive ...
4.Removes those pornography apps on your phone ,cut ties with friends who you talk sex through out .
Even if it's your girlfriend or your boyfriend end that relationship
𝗠𝘆 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗘:
Feed your soul with God's Word. 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙮 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙧𝙖𝙮𝙚𝙧. One minute after watching porn, raise your hands and pray. Accept God's forgiveness, pour gratitude for His unconditional love. Just fellowship!!! FEED on the word. You grow your spiritual strength to be master over the flesh. Listen to messages.
Keep yourself busy by doing the right things ..engage your mind .
Mind who you follow on social media.
In summary:
🔴 Be very deliberate and choosy about what you let into your mind. Your mind is your most important sex organ. The battle happens here.
🔴 Feed on God's word. This is not a time to spend more time on social media than you do in the word. Read. Listen. Meditate. Gradually, the word fills your desire with God's and melts the desire for sin. This is how I broke free.
🔴 Pray. Prolonged addiction has a spiritual force about it. Pray!
PS:
For me, it was two weeks of consistent Bible study and prolonged hours of prayer. In those two weeks, I still watched porn and masturbated.
I have a friend I would do it and still tell her that I have and she would not judge me but help me to overcome it ... but the desire reduced gradually until it stopped. 𝐊𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞. 𝐃𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐮𝐩.
And till date, I'm still very choosy with what goes into my mind. Addictions resurface.
Scriptures to study about winning sin:
Romans 8:12-13. Hebrews 2:17 -18
2 Corinthians 2:14. Colossians 3:5
Hebrews 4:15 - 16. 1 Peter 2:21-22
1 Peter 4:1-2. 1 John 3:6-7
1 Corinthians 15:34.
Addiction is a circle you can't break from unless you 1: have dominion over what you think. What we feed our mind is important. What you listen to ,what you view is paramount in determining what you think. This often becomes a stronghold(thinking pattern).
Cutting off from friends that are immoral will also help. Immoral discussions often don't seem to have an instant effect. It comes when you are lonely, and that's when you are most vulnerable.
Moreso, give yourself to prayer, fasting and studying the word of God. Fasting will energize your spirit and give it dominion over your corrupted soul, prayer will purge your corrupted soul , and try to align it with the Spirit, God's word will form a new thinking pattern.
NOTE: Your addiction happens by an unconscious or conscious commitment to particular acts over time and it will take a conscious commitment to certain principles for you to redeem your soul. Stopping addiction won't happen automatically, it will take time.
Lastly find an accountability Person ..
Someone who you can talk to when the urge to watch pornography starts to come .
Get a friend you can trust ....
You can give him or her access to your chrome ..
Anytime you want to log in to those pornography sites , they will be notified and they can let you know to stop it .
When the urge to masturbate starts coming, you can call them and talk to them until you forget about them.
You will overcome it ..
You will win that battle ..
Take a step from today not to do it again ...
Find someone not a stranger ,find someone you can trust and talk to them and walk the journey together.
By the grace of God you will overcome it .
I pray for you that you break forth from that cycle , in Jesus name .
Break from the secret sins in Jesu name . Amen.
Amen.
