If you're a care worker who has faced pressure, threats or disciplinary action for speaking out about PPE, contact my office *in confidence*.
We're collecting evidence on how care workers are undervalued, underpaid, and fear speaking out due to precarious employment status.
@NadiaWhittomeMP went back to work as a Carer. She’s been donating her wages to charity. Now she’s been sacked for speaking out about PPE shortages. Nobody should be treated like this. Solidarity Nadia.
PPE shortages and shoddy workers rights are a national scandal. This isn't unique to me.
The real story is poverty wages, being silenced, and the tragic Government failures to protect people in care homes.

More than 1,000 small businesses in #Brighton and #Hove have not applied for #covid19 support. Council leader Nancy Platts said the authority is writing again and is determined every eligable business should have support. #LDreporter@bhlabour
If this is true then despite not being through the peak Wetherspoons are already planning how to further endanger their staff.
It is impossible to social distance in a restaurant setting. Bosses are putting their workers in danger in the name of profit. #spoonstrike#100Percent

Dear @Tobias_Ellwood,
We’re not soldiers.
We didn’t sign up to die for a cause.
We don’t want red arrows, medals, jingoism or war rhetoric.
We want masks, gloves, gowns & visors.
Could you actually focus your minds on that, please?
Today is #PostalWorkersDay - and we want to say a massive thank you to our posties, who are out there day in, day out, helping to keep the country running under extremely difficult circumstances! #ThankYou
Brighton Kemptown's brilliant MP @lloyd_rm wins Newcomer MP of the Year award. Typically, he credited his staff and casework team rather than himself. 'We speak up for the voiceless and campaign for the underdog,' he said. Brighton is lucky to have such an amazing campaigner.
We are delighted that #CityPlanPart2 has been agreed at Full Council - setting out a blueprint for affordable homes, supporting local businesses and working towards a carbon neutral city over the next decade. We hope residents will engage with the final consultation phase. 🏡🌍🌳
Had enough now with government failures. It’s not opposition for opposition’s sake to call out Gvt’s failure to pursue effective test & track programme & supply basic protection to front line staff & to neglect support for care homes & care workers. People are dying as a result/1
So much of the Sunday Times piece is utterly damning. This, among many lines: a source said preparations for no-deal Brexit "sucked all the blood out of pandemic planning". (But this crisis is not about politics, apparently)
