We've signed an MoU with the city of Khujand in Tajikistan, enabling it to join our #EBRDGreenCities. The signing took place during a meeting attended by the Governor of Sughd Region, the Mayor of Khujand & an @EBRD delegation led by VP Mark Bowman.
At #WUF13, the @EBRD-led session ‘Financing the homes cities need’, brought together public and private partners to scale affordable, resilient housing.
Partners spoke on blended finance, Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) and green solutions to turn demand into delivery.

To unlock MDB and private sector funding, housing solutions need to be demand-driven and community-focused.
At a working dialogue with MDBs, @EBRD ‘s Lin O’Grady noted that the best way for cities to unlock funding is by linking project preparation with finance.
