A reserve is a temporary hold on a *percentage* of a business' funds, not neccessarily the full amount. The sole function of a reserve is to ensure there's enough money to refund customers. We send multiple email warnings with information about the reserve terms, the percentage of funds that will be held, and the time period for which the reserve will be applied. Normally this is 30–90 days to give time for customers' refunds/disputes to process.

I spend a lot of timing thinking about how The Atlantic ran an article titled “Georgia’s Experiment in Human Sacrifice” back in April and, six months later, the death rate from coronavirus there is still *less than half* what it is in NY, NJ and MA.
"The point of life is living, and everyone is better off with policies that focus on protecting the most vulnerable populations. It requires only abandoning fear, being sensible...choosing to live with the virus, rather than to live for it."

Biden commits to @jaketapper that he'll raise the corporate tax rate on "day one," regardless of the unemployment rate. Doesn't think it will affect hiring.
Updated CDC data showing how many Americans have died with covid versus without covid during the pandemic.
Imagine the number of lives we could save by focusing on impactful social habits and by spending the same trillions of dollars but on our actual leading causes of death.
"There's already, let's say, a steep thesis, that after five days we say the infectious period is actually over...It's no use having all kinds of school classes, all kinds of workplaces under weeks of quarantine." https://t.co/88ZtNVVJrA
Atlas: “The purpose of testing is to stop people from dying, stop people from getting a serious illness from this disease, and allowing other people, who are very low-risk, to function."
