According to EC Aware, 1 in 5 Americans has at least one risk factor for esophageal cancer. It may not show early symptoms, so knowing the risks factors, such as chronic #GERD, Barrett’s esophagus, smoking, and obesity, matters.

Every 40 minutes, someone in the U.S. is diagnosed with esophageal cancer & it remains the 7th leading cause of cancer death among U.S. men.
Know the potential symptoms which may include: difficulty swallowing, persistent heartburn, chest discomfort, or unexplained weight loss. If you have questions or concerns, talk to a healthcare provider.
