Crews have been working throughout the night at the scene to monitor hotspots

We’ve scaled the incident down to 25 firefighters

@Bricks_N_Gaming We were called to a fire in a bin store in All Saints Close at 12.47am. Dovercourt's crew extinguished the fire and left the scene at 1.40am. It is not clear if the fire was accidental or deliberate.

Crews have issued safety advice after a house fire in Basildon today caused by an overloaded socket.

The property didn't have working smoke alarms and the occupants escaped through a first floor window because the front and back door were locked.

A crew revisited the site this morning to check for hotspots and the fire remained fully extinguished.

An investigation to establish the cause will be carried out today.
