I have a very autistic 4 year old who’s obsessed with numbers. His motor planning is poor. He loves Mad Professor Mariarti. I’m going to build a game to help with that, likely on an Atari ST with stolen sprites, and I’ll document it here. Means a bit of other stuff I do will have to give for a bit. Might interest some people, might bore you, apologies if it’s the latter.

Pyjamarama (WIP). Demo mode done. Next up: fireworks on the "win screen". For these 2 features I unpack and hide the data (scripts) in the upper part of the screen temporarily. Desperate times, desperate measures when it comes to available RAM 😅

Pyjamarama WIP. Slowly whittling down my "conversion to do list" (image shows tiny part of it). Major components left to convert from Speccy Z80 to Elk 6502: arcade room (mini game), demo mode, celebratory fireworks, sounds & tune, maybe key redefinition and joystick support 🥵

Port of Pyjamarama to Acorn Electron (WIP). I am able to complete the game now. Working on the "you lose" and the "you win" screens, with nice chunky font. Screen mode split is still active but you won't notice it. Also, large boulder could be smoother but is good enough

This is a dream come true!
I’d always wanted to connect a #MiniDisc to an #MSX as a data drive. I think MiniDisc 💽 is one of the coolest media ever.
I contacted @xavirompe in 2023 about his Rookie Drive, and he explained to me that CDs and MiniDiscs have 2K sectors and Nextor won't read them.

But now, with AI, some dreams can become reality: #Claude has created a driver to read, write, and format Hi-MD on the MSX, and it works like a charm!!
This might be the first time in history that a MiniDisc has been connected to an MSX!
Combining the two coolest things in the world 😎 MSX + MiniDisc!
