Conservation has taken a central role in this year's project Dr Lu Cooke and her team have been undertaking rapid assessments of all the 20th century structures at Elizabeth Castle. Check out Abhilasha talking about it here

The excavation team have been working in tough conditions: hard ground, hot weather and features have been slow to appear. But we think we have the first wall starting to appear and are looking forward to seeing what else might emerge!
