@bethanyemeks6 @ikeeyah_@proceeeding i also need to look into it, i know some companies will have a section for improving their diversity of employees on their websites, but to those companies that dont, its up to us i guess to call it out as we see/ experience it
@bethanyemeks6 @ikeeyah_@proceeeding Exactly why we need evidence to prove to them so the companies cant get away with using excuses like that anymore. So i dont think that evidence comes from sharing demographics instead we need undeniable proof
@bethanyemeks6 @ikeeyah_@proceeeding the demographics of higher level job positions is not proof of institutional racism. Its more important to find actual proof of this so companies can take things seriously. Otherwise, it would be way to easy to say that it was because no black person applied for the job etc
@bethanyemeks6 @ikeeyah_@proceeeding Real racism would be having evidence of a black person losing out on a higher level job they were qualified to get, specifically because they were black. Who was the person in charge of this decision? What is the name of the company? Lets seek justice together?
@gishomo it is SOMETIMES good to keep following people who have a different opinion to you, to hear the other side and mainly to keep them in check! Call them out on it if needs be. Also, it works both ways, they will also get to see our posts and our views and hopefully they hear it too
@vvouge96 @ikeeyah_@proceeeding I just dont think having companies share their employer demographic will necessarily proves if a company is or isnt racist. We have to focus more on the values of the company and what they have actually done in helping people. Or if they are just all talk.
