Looks like it's #PortfolioDay!
I'm CommanderEclipse, and I love drawing armor, dark fantasy, monsters, monstergirls, tokusatsu, fanart, and sometimes all the above.
@James2315_@airbagg3d Nepotism would be "Hey, can you get my son a director job" not "Hey, anyone know where my son can get career advice?"
Being in game VFX doesn't get you pull in film.
@kn1febaby__@user__NULL@airbagg3d Doing VFX in games does NOT give you pull in film.
A24 discovered him through his virality and by their own words, didn't even know he was in highschool when they reached out to him.
@gingerIemons@goobisnthere@UltraTomatoo@airbagg3d A24 literally didn't even know he was a high schooler when they reached out for the first time.
Nepotism would be "Hey, can you put my kid in a director role." not "Hey, anyone have some advice for my kid on how to direct?"
@Owlsayssouth@sadhorse4 The complaint is that it's effectively becoming canon because some of the people believing the meme go on to write for Star Wars, which is how we get scenes like the above or this.
@Luke_Maxxing Oh I wasn't talking about Rothana, just that it seems straightforward to extrapolate that you can hide building and funding stuff like that in space.
@Kerrcarr01 Will never forget when TFA was first announced and how under that one photo of sweaty Stormtrooper Finn making the rounds, far too many comments were talking about how "Ummm, why is he black? They're supposed to be clones!!"
A while ago, I saw a bascinet and called it a sallet in a drunken haze.
I swore myself to draw 10,000 bascinets in penance.
...I don't have the attention span for that, so enjoy a more meager collection.
@Throwaw62791677@PenseesofPascal Firebombing/strategic bombing vs a nuke. The scale and totality of destruction in an instant is what makes it a WMD versus just regular doctrine.
@Luke_Maxxing When you got a galaxy with a noted bloated bueaurocratic government, some far off isolated manufacturing zones and blacksites isolated through shell companies doesn't seem that far fetched.
Space is big.
