@DrKChilds The more concerning issue is the % of the year that is actually teaching new content! When you take out tests days, day before break, day return from break, standardized testing days, incentive daysโฆ the list goes on. Iโm guessing 75% of the year is utilized effectively.
K-8 math tasks for week 1 done... https://t.co/Xy5UoPyZDz
1. I'd quit almost every class that was held online & via VHS tapes (look 'em up, youngsters)
2. I taught math by having Ss TALK TO EACH OTHER all the time
3. I want to cry
4. Send toilet paper & I'll share more tasks
@NKeithBlend Do you have a link for what you copied for 6-8? We are in the midst of deciding some get printed and some get digital. Could very well be not the same level of learning! ๐ณ I was thinking Pizazz sheets for self-checking. Digital would be more innovative!
@bkdidact@mathematize4all @LaraMathcalf @Angelaturrou @CarrythZero @lockhartedu I was trained on the Early Numeracy Project by Doug Clarke (Melbourne,Australia) years ago.Teaching different grade levels. Loved it! Itโs adaptive and allows you to move to different questions as students get right/wrong answers during interview process.
I do not know who needs to hear this, but you DO NOT have to assign math homework aka practice problems EVERY night for students to โget itโ.
BTW homework shouldnโt count for a grade either.
