People in the Midwest have lost jobs over the past ten years and these people are NOT finding other work! This is due, largely in part, to these apprenticeship laws! They're ridiculous and unnecessary!
Giving third world countries access to markets is NOT "pity trading." Trade, by definition, is a mutually beneficial exchange between two entities. MUTUALLY BENEFICIAL people!
Thought: What if, instead of raising taxes to build and sustain that pier or library, you build it and charge people per use? Would that not be a better allocation of everyone's resources?

In the university of Oxford, the greater part of the public professors have, for these many years, given up altogether even the pretense of teaching. It is so important that we have good teachers educating our children.
