@ev_m_ I was also confused by this plot point. Apart from his scar, the injury didn’t seem to leave any lasting damage. I wish they explained exactly why Xing Wu was ruled out. #Dazzling
@kdramahotgists Folk posted some great recs already, but if you need a few more costume drama suggestions:
- Blossom
- Prisoner of Beauty
- Shadow Love
Important to remember: Sony ALSO believed this and decided to sell it to Netflix for like 6 nickels Then Netflix just threw it up with NO marketing. The only reason KPDH did well was BECAUSE people talked about it. Thats why NOW we're getting McD collabs and Barbie Dolls
@untamedyouths Song Mo so good he’s sat twice. ✨
“How Dare You’s” Xiahou Dan and “Prisoner of Beauty’s” Wei Shao also want invites to the wife guy dinner party.
@American_Noona I think you'll love costume cdramas. If you want to start one that's fully out (instead of waiting on episode drops for the newly-released "Unveil"), "The Double" on Netflix is excellent.
@American_Noona ... learn a valuable lesson (e.g., Yeol walking in Eunjo's shoes grounds him in the people's plight). 2nd swap: I bet Eunjo’s palace time will finally push her to ally with the revolutionaries + arm her w/ insights for the fight. 🧵2/2
@American_Noona Totally get how the #ToMyBelovedThief soul-swapping not following a consistent pattern (that we can at least ascertain rn) can frustrate. Imo, it happens when the Fate God wants them to play to strengths (e.g., in the 1st swap, only Eunjo can detect the drug incense) or ...🧵1/2
@American_Noona The Fate God def tends to the sidelines and only intervenes with gentle nudges (talisman, lantern) or big swings (soul swap). I enjoy the respectful distance cuz it maintain's Eunjo/Yeol's free will. But agree that more supernatural world-building would enrich the story.
Unpopular opinion: Kim Hye Yoon completely carried Lovely Runner. The story and male lead were good, but without her energy and emotional range, the show wouldn’t have hit nearly as hard.
