Under #PMAYU2_0, MoHUA has sanctioned a DHP at Villianur, Puducherry using Light Gauge Steel Frame (LGSF) Technology with rockwool infill. A Contract Agreement was signed by BMTPC with M/s Cactus Profiles Pvt Ltd., Noida on 2 June 2026 for construction of 40 units with amenities.
The PVC-based polymer formwork acts as a permanent finished wall system, requiring no plaster and enabling rapid construction. Experts from Australia will assist in erecting the wall panels, showcasing innovative and sustainable housing solutions for India’s future.
Under #PMAYU2_0, the MoHUA has sanctioned a DHP at Alwar using Stay-in-Place PVC Wall Form Technology. A contract agreement was signed on 1.6.2026 for construction of 40 housing units with associated amenities.

BMTPC was invited to deliver special remarks during the Policy Prototyping Workshop on 'Accelerating the Market Adoption of Green Building Materials – Pathways to Net Zero', organised by Global Buildings Performance Network (GBPN) on 14th May 2026 at New Delhi.
On May 12, 2026, a meeting was held between Shri Arvind Kumar, Executive Director BMTPC and Dr. Malle’ Fofana, Dy. E.D. and Head of Directorate for Green Growth Implementation (DGGI) at Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), South Korea along with officials from both sides.
The discussions focused on the on-going initiatives including BEAT software and SMARTEE-B projects and the future roadmap for collaboration and progress achieved so far, upcoming priorities and opportunities for strengthening coordination.
BMTPC elaborated on how can the industry build the capability needed to adopt new construction technologies at scale - across developers, contractors, site supervisors, engineers, and skilled labour.

A Technical Session to evaluate BEAT (Building Emission Assessment Tool) was organised in BMTPC office on April 24, 2026 by the GGGI in association with HEAT International, Germany and CII, India. The session was organised by Chairman, TAC, ALCBT & ED for BMTPC technical team.
