Aujourd'hui à Bujumbura, les participants sont passé à l'action pour appliquer les approches fondées sur les droits humains à l'alerte précoce.
Les moments clés de la journée :
✅ Exercices de groupe : Identifier les droits humains en jeu dans des scénarios de conflit et formuler des indicateurs DH correspondants.
✅ Collecte de données fondée sur les DH :Passer des principes à la pratique pour recueillir des informations crédibles.
✅ Revue & analyse : Examiner les indicateurs d'alerte précoce et les outils de collecte de données existants de l'UA & de la CEEAC.
✅ Travail sur modèles pratiques : Les groupes ont examiné le projet de Formulaire de collecte de données des INDH et les Infrastructures Nationales de Paix ont élaboré des feuilles de route concrètes avec les OSC.
✅ Exercice "Marche du Pouvoir" : Une activité puissante pour approfondir les discussions sur le genre, les enfants et l'inclusion dans l'AP.

🔍 Day 1 Dive: From Concepts to Frameworks

The capacity building in Bujumbura began with high-level opening remarks from AUC, ECCAS, OHCHR & the Gov't of Burundi, setting a strategic tone for the week.

Alida Kaneza, GIZ: “We are gathered here not to react to an immediate crisis, but to proactively prevent future conflicts and emerging threats by applying a human-rights-based approach to early warning and conflict analysis.”

Ambassadeur Jean-Jacques Demafouth – CEEAC: "Les défis sécuritaires, économiques, climatiques et sociaux auxquels nous faisons face exigent des réponses collectives, coordonnées et cohérentes."

On behalf of Amb. @Bankole_Adeoye, Mr. Issaka Garba Abdou, Head of Governance and Human Rights Division: “Human rights violations are not just symptoms; they are early warning indicators that must be integrated at every stage of our analysis and prevention efforts.”

Today's core sessions focused on:

Le Renforcement des capacités régionales sur l’intégration des droits humains dans l’alerte précoce a débuté à Bujumbura, Burundi (9–12 déc. 2025).

🎯 Objectif : Renforcer les capacités des parties prenantes à intégrer les droits humains dans la prévention des conflits et les systèmes d’alerte précoce en Afrique centrale.

📚 Pendant 4 jours, ils participeront à des présentations d’experts, exercices de groupe, simulations et échanges pour améliorer les outils d’alerte précoce fondés sur les droits humains.
