I did not expect this from you Hon @otafiire_k , but I believe I understand why you have chosen this course of action.
When you were first summoned to Kapeka by Gen. Saleh on the instructions of President Museveni regarding your disagreements and attacks against Gen. @mkainerugaba , the President asked Gen. Saleh to look into the matter. During that meeting in Kapeka, you found Gen. @AigpDamulira together with Gen. Muhoozi. From that point onward, you appeared to begin targeting the Director of Crime Intelligence.
I would like to challenge you to provide evidence for the extrajudicial killings you are alleging. If you genuinely have such information, present the facts and supporting evidence.
Furthermore, taking this matter to X (formerly Twitter) instead of addressing it directly with your colleague by phone raises questions about your intentions. Publicly airing accusations without first pursuing direct engagement can be viewed as an attempt to exert pressure or publicly discredit a colleague rather than resolve the issue professionally.
The Anticipated next Prime Governor of the State of Uganda, Gen. @mkainerugaba Chaired a UPDF Commanders and Staff Meeting at the @KagutaMuseveni Building in Entebbe yesterday. We are informed that he sounded like a Commander-In-Chief. Could @mkainerugaba be winding up for Office
We are truly grateful for the visionary leadership of H.E. President @KagutaMuseveni , who championed the national CCTV project from its inception in 2018. His foresight in modernizing our security infrastructure is delivering clear results for the safety of all Ugandans.
We also commend the diligent leadership of the @PoliceUg under IGP @igp_ug1 and the entire team for effectively utilizing this technology. Managing 42,417 operational incidents and successfully resolving 6,688 criminal cases using CCTV footage is a remarkable achievement that is enhancing public safety, supporting business confidence, and boosting tourism.
This is the kind of strategic investment our country needs. Let us continue supporting these advancements as we build a safer, more secure, and prosperous Uganda for every
Mr. Muganga Lawrence was not rejected by the committee for being a Munyarwanda, a narrative i see some people so deceptively selling. We have other leaders who are banyarwanda who were approved & have been approved in the past. Hon . Aisha Ssekindi and Dianah Mutasingwa were approved yet they are Banyarwanda but Ugandan citizens.
Muganga was not approved after he denied holding a Rwandan passport, but the Committee investigations confirmed he holds 3 passports: Ugandan, Canadian and Rwandan. Why was he denying it? Therefore, the claim that he was rejected because of being a munyarwanda is totally false, misleading & dangerous.
