A Westminster Hall Debate on 4th December brought national focus to the need for a comprehensive Acquired Brain Injury Action Plan. MPs from across parties highlighted the day-to-day realities facing people with ABI, calling for stronger community rehabilitation, better-integrated mental health and neurological care, clearer access to specialist rehab, improved data sharing, and more support for families.
The Minister for Public Health, Ashley Dalton, confirmed that the Government will publish the ABI Action Plan within six months, setting priorities across health, social care, education, justice and beyond so that rehabilitation and long-term support become consistent and better connected.
