The #CBJ scored the 1st 2 goals in St. Louis Saturday, but the Blues stormed back in the 2nd period leading to a 5-3 win. Sean Monahan played in his 900th NHL game. Our @EdFrancisCBJ has the story for https://t.co/Q7W27Rb55v.

Losing when up 2-0 in the second is rough, particularly when the opponent isn't elite. Not many guys you could say had a good game for #CBJ, and it was Jet's worst start of the young season by a wide margin.
Additional thoughts coming up in my game summary with @CBUSsportsLocal.
For as good as the first period was, the second one was equally as bad (and maybe worse). #CBJ manage just three shots on goal, which is also the number of goals they allowed to the Blues. St. Louis will enter the third period up 3-2. Not ideal, but it's nowhere near over.
A *good* road period turned into a *great* road period in the closing seconds. Monny first, then KJ with 12 seconds left to give the #CBJ a 2-0 lead through 20. Penalty-free, limited St. Louis' opportunities, and a pair of goals. Just about all you can ask for.
Insignificant news: I’ve changed my X handle to better represent what this account has become. While I still will give insightful (hopefully!) statistical data, there’s a lot of other #CBJ stuff here now.
(I do still own BlueJacketStats, though! Never say never 👺)
It’s the first back-to-back of the season for the #CBJ, who are in St. Louis on Saturday night to face the Blues.
Courtesy of @BlueJacketStats, here’s our gameday preview. That and more Jackets coverage is at https://t.co/KiEUWDwAKa!
By the way, another banger night at the dot for Adam Fantilli. He won 14 of 16 faceoffs. For those keeping track:
16/20 (vs BUF)
15/20 (vs UTH)
14/16 (vs PIT)
That's 45 of 56, or 80.3% through the first three games. #CBJ
We’ve seen this team lose these games a hundred times. Maybe more.
They didn’t tonight. They tried, maybe, but they didn’t.
Baby steps, as they say. #CBJ
Blue Jackets are up 2-1 through two. Hard(ish) to complain, but the data suggests it should be more: 30-10 shots on goal, 63-23 shot attempts, and about 74% of expected goals. Interesting third should be on the way. #CBJ
A really good period of hockey by the #CBJ overall. It took the Pens almost half the period (9:27) before their first shot on goal and SOG finished 10-3 for Columbus for the period. Severson's goal was a goodie, man this team missed him. Still need to clean up the minors, though.
It’s a big Friday night affair for the #CBJ when they face the Pittsburgh Penguins. Check out our preview of the game here, full of everything you need to know before the puck goes down! ⬇️
Severson’s injury was a huge reason the #CBJ missed the playoffs last year. The way the defense has looked early this season, his return tonight is… huge-r.
Damon Severson has been activated from Injured Reserve. He'll be joining Zach Werenski on the Blue Jackets top defensive pairing tonight against Pittsburgh. #CBJ
An update regarding #CBJ broadcasts and one you may not love if you’re currently not able to watch games. Sounds like we’ve gotten into a measuring contest.
The #CBJ have released a statement with an update regarding television broadcasts:
“Columbus Blue Jackets fans can watch each of the club’s non-nationally televised games during the 2026-27 National Hockey League season on Spectrum, Prime Video, and Fubo, which carry the games for in-market subscribers. DIRECTV and in Columbus, Breezeline, are among the providers that have been offered the same terms. While the NHL continues to have discussions with each, neither has agreed to carry Blue Jackets games.”
Mikael Pyyhtia has been placed on waivers. He’ll go to the Monsters if he clears, but that’s no guarantee. Wouldn’t be entirely surprised if he’s claimed. #CBJ

@davidschoettmer@TheFourthPeriod lol. As I noted, it depends on the return. It always depends on the return.
But you can, as others have, answer. It’s a general sentiment of “are they guys you wanna hang or, or guys you’d like to see dealt?”
Cmon man.
Some chatter for quite a while now, and it was brought up again today by @TheFourthPeriod, about Voronkov and Johnson being available via trade.
Temperature check: would you be interested in seeing #CBJ move them? Obviously return matters, but a general feeling.
Alex Ovechkin has announced this is his final season in the NHL.
Regular-season wise, his third-to-last game will be in Columbus against the #CBJ on Tuesday, April 6th. That’s currently slated for a 7:45pm start.
