@MazherArshad Mazher ji singlehandedly summarising the whole BA vs VK thing perfectly! Needless to say both BA and VK magnificent cricketers and if you love cricket you love these two regardless of country🙏😀
People so offended so easily nowadays, whether it’s race/religion/gender etc. One is fully entitled to point out hypocrisy and double standards whenever it becomes apparent, doesn’t mean you are racist or have an agenda etc.
Society has declined so badly in this respect.
Until people realise that India generate most of the income in world cricket, and with such economic power comes control, you can put whatever spin or angle on it. Economic might trumps values/principles etc….happens everywhere and at all levels!
Fair result overall from this test series.
Both teams playing aggressive cricket and wanted to win the matches, you can see the legacy Kohli has left behind in this team, the swagger the confidence etc even in defeat. That self talk and belief is crucial. #INDvsENG#OvalTest
Composure on the pictch&off the pitch,at post match interview from @ShubmanGill
He’s articulate&has wise head on young shoulders, his aggression &calm in equal measure is hallmark of all gr8 players.
Gd 2c Punjabi origin cricketers like Kohli b4&now Gill

Putting everything aside,if India were playing in Pak, reckon most of the Pak public would have been backing India to win the tournament. Always blows my mind that Lahore is just 34 miles from Amritsar, I was in Amritsar recently&thought 2myself Punjabis r Punjabis in Pak or Ind!
Listened to a very emotional podcast featuring Gideon Haigh recently on the ‘Conversations’ podcast, (an excellent podcast by the way!)……this is a must listen. Really moving stuff. @plalor
@krick3r Prepares for each game exactly the same, the same steely determination, as he once said in an interview words to the effect of success is built on doing the same thing day in day out even when you don’t feel like it. Incredible cricketer and incredible longevity.
@iam_JZK Totally agree! Junaid Bhai I’m not on here often, but have to say you are always one of the most balanced cricket observers on here, I’m Indian but either side of border loads of insane/bias/political takes on the game, so your voice is very refreshing!
@Abhinandan6638 I wasn’t convinced by him totally, but he has shown many positive qualities, so really well done.
Was disappointed in Rohits reaction to him with dropped catches, but this will make him tougher at a young age to be exposed to criticism/adversity and coming through it regardless.
Defeats, series loss, aging players, players in decline, dressing room unrest has all happened before in this great sport of cricket, reconstructing and redeveloping a new team has always happened over the years. But, it requires big decisions and ruthless leadership. #INDvsAUS
#OnThisDay in 1997, Sachin Tendulkar produced a hundred for the ages against a quality South African bowling attack.
India were 58/5, but made 359 with captain @sachin_rt making 169.
Tendulkar added 222 runs with Azhar (115) for 6th wicket.
@vikrantgupta73 The problem has been for some time now, that stellar individual batting performances have masked a collective decline in the batting. I don’t mind if we go through a tricky phase in coming years as long as we rebuild and phase in younger talent (we have more than enough talent!)
@doc_hormone Think the Konstas thing is actually helping them bond in part, especially with the rumours of a unsettled and fractured set up in the Indian team! But I do think they’ve become a bit obsessional over him, and he is playing on that! Smart kid in my opinion!
