Grade 1-3 students presented their percussive dances this week. They have the opportunity of a โre-doโ. Practicing at home will be needed before they present on Thursday next week!

Weโve been using Just Dance videos from YouTube as a warm up in our PE classes. Itโs a great tool to use at home when you need a quick movement break; or even when your looking to be active for your recommended 30min daily exercise!
Exercising with a focus on strength, flexibility, balance, and endurance does not always require highly active/cardio activities; Pilates is one way to work on these fitness goals in a low impact yet high effort/exertion way.
Our Hawks and Hunters game has been extremely popular last week and once again this week with our students. Communicating (verbal and non verbal), working on agility, space awareness, and safety are skills being used during this game.
The cold weather has forced us inside; so we are working on our cardio and endurance through a favourite activity, The Edgemont 500! Ask me how many laps I ran today.
Our grade 4, 5 and K students started building their football skills this week: running with ball tucked into body; hand off passes; long passes; and scooping up a fumbled ball while building endurance and agility.
Tomorrow from 10:30-11:30, there will be drop in PE for any grades. Join me for the first half hour for a chair workout (just need yourself and a chair); and the last 30min we'll play "Would You Rather" fitness game. Stay for both or come for just one. Hope to see you tomorrow!
We had a large group join us for our K/Gr.1 workout this morning! Thanks to all those students who helped make the slides for todays workout. Remember to check your google classroom for your PE schedule this week!
Have you made your online Terry Fox donation yet? Our school has raised $70 so far. I know we can raise much more than that! Just a reminder our school page is https://t.co/KCKcF1zyVf
