I met my girlfriend when she had nothing. No admission, nothing. I loved her, so I sponsored her university from 100 level to final year. School fees, hostel, handouts, everything. I did it because I believed we had a future.

She graduated with a good result. I was happy, like her success was mine.

Then she wanted to do her Masters in the UK. I helped her again. I supported her admission, I contributed money for her fees and flight. The plan was simple: she would go first, settle, then I would join her. We would build our life there together.

She traveled. The first few weeks she was calling, telling me she missed me.

One day I tried to call her, WhatsApp blocked. Her UK number was switched off. Just like that.

Till today, I have not heard from her.
