Saw this around when Peak came out and have been looking forward to it since.
I'm just glad to see a game about friends that isn't infinite quota slop.
๐ด๐ก๐ต BIG WALK ๐ด๐ก๐ต
Our new game about walking and talking comes out August 4 on Steam, Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5.
Hang out and get lost with close friends in a big world.
@woofle_exe Nice. It'll suck you have less time to stream, but it also means you get to be more selective of what you stream since you don't have to fill so many streams.
@FoxxyLillyVT@zachbussey Pretty sure they stated it doesn't effect the ad revenue you get which would mean it could easily be exploited by using it to hide your botted number while still getting advantage of the ad revenue.
@PikkyVTuber@zachbussey It's visible number, and I think the stated reason was to help with view botting (if you think you're being botted you can cap the number so twitch doesn't punish you.)
It seems poorly thought out and also pushing all responsibility on the streamer.
@JiminiCricafue@xanscafe@zachbussey@el1zbar From what I remember they stated the cap doesn't effect your ad revenue and you could easily hide otherwise blatant view botting by capping it closer to a realistic number.
I think the fact it's almost useless outside building is a development issue, everyone could be happy if it did have at least had as much use as normal stone (crush it to turn it into normal cobble or gravel so the default reaction isn't "Oh I have to toss this out of my inventory later."
I mean that it's the thing, you gotta avoid it and clear your inventory every once in awhile, having to avoid it is part of the nuisance. Maybe not the biggest nuisance, but when most players don't use it and remember when it just wasn't there, it feels like something added just to annoy players.
The problem is even for people that don't use them, it's really annoying, since it just clogs your inventory while mining and can't be used for most things normal stone can be used for.
It's like if trees dropped two rarer variants of log per tree type that can't be used as wood, sure it's cool if you're have a above average interest in building, but otherwise it's just less wood and a more clogged up inventory.
