Brittney became a Social Worker 19 years ago after she lost her nieces to Tay-Sachs Disease. She believes that Social Workers "break barriers every day by advocating for our patients & families, ensuring they are treated fairly, & have access to resources." #SocialWorkMonth2023
March is National #SocialWorkMonth! The work our Social Workers perform is invaluable to breaking barriers. Edmarc Social Worker, Abbey, believes "social workers are nothing short of magical, and I am so proud to be a small part of such an amazing profession!" #HopeForTheJourney
Today, our team of women celebrate the strength, resilience & achievements of women around the world. At Edmarc, we honor & appreciate all the amazing women who work tirelessly to care for children at home and through their work. #HopeForTheJourney#InternationalWomensDay
Since everyone experiences grief uniquely, you may look at a bereaved loved one and see behaviors you don’t expect. It’s important to be aware that there are different types of grief so that you can support them during a challenging time.

Our greatest hope in improving the culture of grief is to collectively become more understanding and empathetic of the many faces and expressions of grief. Have you had an experience with suffocated grief you'd like to share?

Thank you to The Woman’s Club of Smithfield, who donated with 63 frozen casseroles to stock our freezer! We can take these out on visits to families when needed. We are so grateful for their generosity because it helps us provide extra comfort and support to families.
To better understand why your grief might feel so overwhelming, let’s consider all the types of things a person might grieve after the death of a loved one.

Did you know that we have our very own song and dance? The Edmarc Barc was unleashed in 2009 during the “Dancing with Our Stars” event. It's been a few years since we’ve performed it, but who knows, maybe we’ll bring it back for the next viral TikTok dance! #HopeForTheJourney
