We didn't just clean — we planted the future🌱. 2,000 trees: 🌸 1,000 cherry blossoms along our village highway. 1,000 fruit trees for homes & gardens 🥭

In Uganda, everything seems upside down. The man you see in handcuffs is a builder who raised concerns that some brands of cement were underweight.

He claimed that bags labeled as 50 kg were actually weighing around 40.7 kg. Instead of investigating his complaint, different cement companies reported him to the police.

When officers went to verify his claims, they weighed the cement and reportedly found that the bags were indeed lighter than the stated weight. Yet, he is the one who ended up in handcuffs. What a country.

What a journey!

Covering the 2026 #FIFAWorldCup was my second World Cup experience, but my first as a FIFA accredited journalist, a milestone I will forever cherish.

However, the journey to the United States was far from straightforward, because of the Ebola outbreak in Uganda, I had to spend 21 days in Tanzania before travelling to the USA.

Those three weeks came with uncertainty, isolation and enormous mental strain, but they also tested my resilience and determination to pursue this dream.

I am deeply grateful to the Ugandan Embassy in Tanzania for the support, guidance and assistance that enabled me to complete the process and eventually travel to the United States.

To everyone who supported me financially, spiritually and emotionally, THANK YOU. Every contribution, prayer, phone call, encouraging message and act of kindness helped me through the testing moments and carried me throughout the tournament.

A special thank you to Azam TV for trusting me with the opportunity to contribute to its World Cup coverage, and to Daily Nation and Sanyu FM for continuing to provide platforms through which I could tell stories from football’s biggest stage.

To everyone who religiously followed, read, watched, listened to and shared my work on these platforms and across my personal digital channels, your support means more than you may ever know.

It gives purpose to the long journeys, sleepless nights, mental pressure and sacrifices that come with telling these stories.

From spending 21 challenging days in Tanzania to walking into World Cup stadiums as a FIFA accredited journalist, this journey reminded me that no dream is achieved alone.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being part of this unforgettable chapter.

So @PoliceUg admits to having stopped Muwanga Kivumbi at a checkpoint on his way from Butambala but denies knowing his whereabouts!!
