Mutual aid means answering the call when our neighboring departments need help. This afternoon, Charlotte Fire crews did exactly that.

At 4:46 p.m., multiple Charlotte Fire engine and ladder companies, along with Charlotte Fireboat 38, responded to the 13800 block of Queen Harbor Rd. to assist Steele Creek Fire at a multi-unit apartment complex fire. Firefighters from multiple departments worked together throughout the incident as crews battled heavy fire conditions.

Steele Creek Fire is the lead agency and is handling the investigation. Charlotte Fire is proud to stand ready for the Queen City and neighborhoods across Mecklenburg County whenever the call comes in.

I don’t think today was chaos.
I think it was bad messaging.

Pegula believes the owner is the CEO, the GM runs ops, and the head coach leads daily culture. That framework isn’t crazy.

Josh Allen didn’t need to be consulted. He’ll adapt — that’s who he is.

This wasn’t reactionary. Pegula doesn’t knee-jerk. To him, nine years hit a ceiling.

But the press conference didn’t lead. It explained feelings, not vision.

We wanted clarity and accountability.
We got tension and deflection.
