This Island deal of Kushner’s is far worse then I ever suspected. This is a fortified military installation with its own bunker city. This is not a resort.
fans worried about over spending but couldnt care less about the money being pissed up the wall on debt interest while ripping you off, and we have fans bootlicking berrada whos wasted millions on terrible decisions @OmarBerrada#GlazersOut#ineosout
"Dahiyeh neighbourhood, which is the southern part of Beirut, the Hezbollah stronghold.."
Dahiyeh is a residential neighbourhood full of apartment blocks, shops, cafes & businesses. Calling it a Hezbollah stronghold is language designed to make it a legitimate target.
SO WHO ARE THE TERRORISTS???
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu presented US Senator John Fetterman a silver plated pager as a gift.
Symbolising the Israeli pager attack in Lebanon that killed at least 42 civilians and injured about 3,500 others.
This is Omar Abdulkadir Artan. Once a little boy from Somalia who fell in love with the beautiful game. A boy who dared to dream of something so big that most people thought was impossible. But he kept going. Year after year. Match after match and sacrifice after sacrifice. That dream led him to become the FIRST Somali referee ever selected for a FIFA World Cup. Think about that. Out of millions of people. Out of entire countries.
He earned a place on the biggest stage this sport has to offer. Imagine finally getting there. Imagine calling your family. Imagine knowing that every sacrifice was worth it especially when you questioned it. Imagine not just the pride of your own country but countries celebrating you.
Then imagine being told you can’t be there. Football doesn't care where you're from, what language you speak or what flag is on your passport. It doesn’t care about politics. It cares about sacrifice. It cares about the years nobody saw. The early mornings, missed holidays, time away from your family and the moments you can never get back. It cares about what you’ve earned and a place at a World Cup should be decided by what you've given to the game and not where you were born.
The World Cup is supposed to bring the world together and not remind us of the lines that divide us because football is and always will be, for everyone.
-Shootings near the England camp
-Japan having to move twice due to terrible facilities
-Players and refs can't even get into the country
-The ball doesn't bounce on the pitches
-$150 trains to get to stadiums that aren't fit for purpose
They've had 8 years prep for this 😭
Will the BBC do a long monologue about the United States' human rights record, its treatment of migrants, and the killing of its own citizens? And will they refuse to broadcast the World Cup opening ceremony, as they did with Qatar?
Let's keep the same standards and the same energy.
🔴 Another Israeli attack on medics:
Lebanese Ministry of Public Health:
Today’s Israeli attack in Tyre in front of the Red Cross center killed five people and wounded eight, including four medics in the Red Cross.
Soccer would not exist without immigrants. Immigrants play and coach the game, work in the stadiums, fill the stands, and make celebrations like the World Cup possible. Six of the players on the US Men's National Team are immigrants.
We will not allow ICE or anyone else to sow fear in our communities — especially at this moment. As the world comes to our city, we will stand proudly with our immigrant neighbors and reject these attacks for what they are: an attempt to divide us.
Israel responds to Iran's retaliatory strikes by cutting off all aid to Gaza.
This is a state which routinely collectively punishes civilians as a tactic of war.
This is monstrous, and it is also a grave war crime.
Any other organization that dismissed concerns like this only for them to be utterly exposed as true would be facing questions about the future of its leadership. As it is, several confederations have expressed their intention to let this man continue to run the sport.
This is the absurdity people warned about.
How are journalists meant to cover a multi-country WC if following a team to Canada or Mexico means they may not be allowed back into the US?
It’s discriminatory, impractical, and completely undermines the idea of a global tournament.
Ireland shouldn't be playing Israel. Not in Dublin. Not in Budapest. Not anywhere
The idea that moving a fixture to a neutral venue somehow absolves the FAI is absurd
If you have the courage of your convictions, act on them. If you don't, stop hiding behind meaningless gestures
