A school bus carrying 65 children started drifting into oncoming traffic after the driver suddenly lost consciousness.

Most of the kids didn’t even realize what was happening at first because they were looking at their phones, playing games or wearing AirPods.

But five rows back, 13-year-old Dillon Reeves noticed the driver’s hands drop from the wheel and the bus begin swerving into traffic.

He didn’t hesitate. Dillon jumped up, ran to the front, grabbed the steering wheel and slammed on the brake, bringing the 15,000-pound school bus to a stop before it crashed.

Then, with terrified kids screaming behind him and the driver still unconscious beside him, Dillon yelled for someone to call 911.

All 65 students made it out without a single injury, and the bus driver was treated at the scene and later made a full recovery.

That’s the kind of young hero people should know about.

The presumption that the Fed raising short-term rates reduces inflation is predicated on the belief that higher rates reduce demand and investment.

But what if higher rates don’t reduce demand and investment because the demand for intelligence and energy is unaffected by higher rates because winning the race for super intelligence has a near infinite ROI and the demand for compute will remain incalculable.

Why won’t higher rates at this unique moment in history therefore lead to more inflation as interest costs are embedded in everything?

And the problem is compounded as the more the Fed raises rates, the more inflation we will have and the more the Fed will need to raise rates further and so on.

But what if the old models don’t apply to the current paradigm and the Fed is wrong?

I think the Fed might have just made a mistake. Am I right or am I wrong?

Why does doing good work in your community automatically mean you should run for office?

Every good coach doesn’t need to be a commissioner. Every mentor doesn’t need to be a mayor. Every community leader doesn’t need their name on a ballot.

Public office is one way to serve. It’s not the only way.

Sometimes we become so focused on who we can elect to fix our communities that we forget the responsibility we have to help fix them ourselves.

Vote. Hold leaders accountable. Work with them.

But then come home and do your part too.

The Federal Reserve printed roughly $4 trillion between March 2020 and early 2022, expanding its balance sheet from $4.2 trillion to over $8.9 trillion, and Jerome Powell stood in front of cameras calling the resulting price explosion "transitory."

Inflation is a tax. Every dollar created without corresponding production transfers purchasing power from savers to the first spenders. The government and its preferred financial institutions spent those fresh dollars before prices adjusted. You spent them after, at a grocery store already pricing in the damage.

By June 2022, CPI hit 9.1 percent, the highest since 1981. Rent, food, used cars, energy: all of it ran hot simultaneously. Monetary expansion redistributes wealth rather than creating it, taking from your pocket to give to whoever holds newly printed money first.

Powell's "transitory" call was deliberate. The Fed had every price signal and money supply number available. M2 grew 27 percent in 2020 alone. That expansion predicted exactly what followed.

The Fed created this inflation deliberately, financing pandemic-era federal spending that Congress could not politically tax you to fund directly. Printing was the cowardly path. You paid through purchasing power destruction rather than a visible tax line on your return, which is precisely why they preferred it.

Sometimes you raised your voice when you didn’t need to. Sometimes you reacted before hearing the whole story. Sometimes your child was right and YOU were wrong.

And that’s okay. But own it.

How can we teach our children accountability if they never get to watch us practice it?

Those words don’t weaken your authority as a parent. They show your child what accountability actually looks like.

JUST IN: I am sad to report that one of the shooting victims at the 2024 Butler Pennsylvania assassination attempt of President Trump has died.

James “Jim” Copenhaver of Moon Township, Pennsylvania, has died at 76. Jim was one of the two spectators seriously wounded in the July 13, 2024, assassination attempt on Donald Trump in Butler.
Copenhaver was shot twice, once in the left arm and once in the abdomen, while seated in the bleachers. He underwent multiple surgeries for a transected colon, abdominal injuries, and related complications. Bullet fragments remained in his body, and he lived the rest of his life with permanent injuries.
He survived the attack that killed firefighter Corey Comperatore and grazed Trump. In the years that followed he continued treatment, later joined a lawsuit alleging Secret Service failures at the rally, and wrote the foreword to a book about the shooting in which he reflected on how he would be remembered.
He is now the second fatality connected to that day.
