Watch a teacher make roughly ~1,000 instructional decisions in about 45 seconds. Only a few of them are about the lesson but the lesson depends on ALL of them. This is one of the hardest things to explain about teaching to people who have never taught.
Honestly, I don’t believe folks who say “new laws won’t change anything” on guns… in part because many of those same folks are actively working to change abortion laws because they know that laws change things. We KNOW that laws can save lives. The red line here is when Republicans ended the 1994 assault weapons ban in 2004.
