30 km/ hr would be great on neighbourhood streets but the road design needs to change with it. Hope funding for liveable streets will be increased to make the necessary changes, plus a more nimble city policy structure to implement more quick and affordable changes.

Well done, @DruhFarrell. This is a great NoM which has been been proven to work in other cities. As others have stated, street design has to follow suit; hope there's capacity/budget for modifying existing neighbourhood streets to calm traffice (ie bump outs).

Whenever we think about the design of roads, we focus on things like width, speed, corners, crossings, curbs, travel/turn lanes, etc. But what about sounds? How often do we think about what they sound like? This is a thread about… street noise. (/1)
