@Virgini42002239 @BillMcD18207864 @WorkAndMoneycom I've moved on to other accounts almost forever, and I still get notifs thanks to this one Tweet, reminding me of how dumb some people are. Some are bringing up valid points and some I need to eat some crayons to understand what they're saying.
God I regret ever saying this.
@Virgini42002239 @BillMcD18207864 @WorkAndMoneycom Fun fact: America has funded schools more and more and test results haven't improved, so throwing money at education doesn't mean kids are going to magically be smarter. Some kids simply don't care, and money doesn't fix ignorance in any shape or form.
@Melanieswombats@Virgini42002239 @BillMcD18207864 @WorkAndMoneycom My case was never that that was the only issue, nor was it that no kids do. I am currently in a high school with examples around me in a small town of kids just not caring and so never trying for an A, just a C, so research isn't needed when it's right next to me.
@londog16@Virgini42002239 @BillMcD18207864 @WorkAndMoneycom That really sucks, I feel like funding is something that's important but shouldn't be first on the to-do list, since students should want to learn before we give them more resources to do so.
@londog16@Virgini42002239 @BillMcD18207864 @WorkAndMoneycom It doesn't, decreasing, increasing, or doing nothing with funding doesn't seem to make anything improve, and decreasing would make it worse. Since my point wasn't decreasing things improves things I'm fine saying it doesn't.
@EffectiveInter2@WorkAndMoneycom Yes, forget personification exists for everything in the known universe and that people treat a nation like the stereotype of their leader or its citizens. Don't believe me? Read a reply or two calling southern states dumb. States themselves, not their citizens.
@Untega If anything, all Corona's doing is making the fire burn fiercer. The US isn't the worst place to live by any means, but so much is questionable you wonder how no one got rid of systems like this sooner. Pretty bad, things can be MUCH better, but things can be worse too.
@Untega Schools are more dictatorships than democracies, I'm more used to their ways of hypocrisy and mistreatment of kids who're defending themselves and who're doing things not banned but the school doesn't like than I should be.
@Untega Agreed, knowing people who're suffering in their family life, it's hard for them to get anything done there since they have family to worry about more than school.
@Untega@Virgini42002239 @BillMcD18207864 @WorkAndMoneycom Less they stop caring and more wishing they could actually help them, but there's not enough time for every kid. So they usually just push those in the back forward if they even have time to do that much. Don't misquote me, some teachers don't give any care, but many do.
@Untega@Virgini42002239 @BillMcD18207864 @WorkAndMoneycom "...with many errors." Dunno if any major corporations have made major errors in tests in the past 10 years, and textbooks, while leaving stuff out, are still pretty factual. Most errors come from tests and lessons printed by teachers from the web, from my experience at least.
@zerowondering Smash Ultimate's online is better than Sm4sh, the custom rulesets are a very welcome addition and most stuff removed (ex. no character switching when fighting someone) can be rectified. (ex. public arenas) People say it's worse because of lag, which is always present in Smash.
