Learning Stories may be the most authentic form of assessment in #ECE! They provide a two-way communication with families and enable all learning and growth to be captured.
For early childhood educators, learning stories are a great way to assess what a student has learned, and how they’ve learned it. https://t.co/YUI6Oxe2pq

@HuffPostLife@EducaLtd I agree. As I say in presentations frequently, "We want children to learn to self evaluate instead of become dependent on the opinion of others." The suggestion I share is to ask the child, "Are you feeling proud of yourself?"
“You should be proud of yourself!” The hope behind this simple phrase is that you can help encourage internal motivation — and subtly reinforce the fact that other people’s opinions of them aren’t as important as their own. https://t.co/TZDKQBOenm
A wee thread about a young boy and the tweet that got away. Feel free to RT.
Three weeks ago my youngest, Gabriel 12, came home upset. His love of woodwork was not deemed cool, nor was only having 6 followers on his instagram. 1/15
