13-year-old DJ Daniel: “I had 13 brain surgeries and that's how many times my personality has changed.”
“That's something that you don't hear from a terminally ill child.”
“I'm gonna keep on going into my gas tank runs out. And that's when God calls you home. You never know when God's gonna call you home.”

In Denmark, kids are encouraged to get muddy on a regular basis. Getting dirty isn't just fun, it's beneficial. Mud play boosts creativity, strengthens sensory development, and even supports a healthier immune system.

@marcuslemonis My wish is for employers to recognize the valuable set of transferable skills that teachers transitioning outside the classroom hold. #MyLemonisChristmasWish
@HannahFrankman I recently saw Temple Grandin speak and she had this same message. A job not from mom or dad. Walk the neighbor’s dog, bring in garbage cans, mow lawns.
Presenting in front of fellow educators is my absolute favorite. Yesterday I met with teachers from across my county and spoke about active teaching through object based learning. Loved hearing the immediate ways teachers could implement these activities in their classrooms!
@xx_xyathletics@Nike They used to have an ad “If You Let Me Play” (in the 90s?) It was about empowering women in sports. As a young girl in Chicago obsessed with playing basketball, I resonated with that commercial, evening purchasing the poster. Needless to say I haven’t supported Nike in years.
