The Chicago Teachers Union stands in solidarity with Education Minnesota, educators, students, and families impacted by ICE violence this week.

ICE’s activity on school property and harm to students, educators and community members is unacceptable. Schools must be safe, welcoming spaces for students and staff, not sites of fear and violence. ICE does not make our communities safer. It puts students, educators, and families at risk and undermines the right to learn and teach without terror.
