I'll tell you what *no one* is talking about: teachers going to the toilet. Especially middle aged female teachers who might sometimes need to go outwith break times.
Looking at the NSW DoE’s Early Career Academy Plan, in particular the pictures of the new (or prospective) teaching grads. I realise the aim is attracting and supporting young adults to a longterm career but where are the older mid-career transition ITE student pics? 🤔

Kudos to @ksirach! Well done.
This should be how we begin our conversations about school behaviour. It's not the entirety of the subject, but it's where we begin.
Support, consequences, responses, third spaces, incentives, disincentives etc all need to be framed within this idea: *children deserve a safe, calm space where they can learn in dignity*.
This is the Prime Directive of public education.
I wish teaching was a profession in which we were allowed to take a year long sabbatical and read research, books, and attend conferences… that would be so invigorating.
Fact:
"Reading diagnostic tests should be administered by the person who will be designing and implementing the intervention.
A diagnostic assessment yields SO much more than a score, and if someone else is administering the assessment, the interventionist will be operating with incomplete information."
Dr. Holly Lane
As an interventionist, I can confirm this is true.
Listening to the Maths instruction debate on the Matific live stream and Pamela Weber Harris just gave Toni Hatten-Roberts the most backhanded compliment in her closing statement I’ve ever heard in an academic discussion. Wow.

Really privileged to be featured in the latest @teachNSW Teacher Spotlight. Being a NSW public school teacher is the best job. You get to make a difference, no two days are the same and you are surrounded by the best people. https://t.co/kKHLnsErkb
Sorry but one teacher cannot differentiate every lesson for 27 different kids whose reading level ranges from 1st to 11th and account for 6 different IEPS
The inclusion/no-tracking push is simply unworkable
87.1% of New South Wales teachers say they don’t have adequate resources to meet the needs of students with disability. @AlboMP must fully fund public schools, to ensure every child is supported to succeed. #ForEveryChild#auspol
