I thought when something goes viral it is because of the attention that post or video gets from other people. But it is actually alot of capital/government work put into it. Hmm, im suspicious of everything now lol! Everything is governed control. #lesson13

I appreciate that the course ended with a last lecture about online speech. Not many are aware of the effects of online speech has on someone else. For example, the online hate speech on Korean celebrities. A high sucide rate in the industry of Korea. #lesson13
I was not aware that the, UNDP organization, was a space to discuss about stuff but had the right to co trol what can and cant be said. Makes me question the other online space, that claims we can post anything that we want to. #lesson12
" YouTube: People started to tell the rest of the world about what the government was doing to them" I did not know thats how YouTube began. I feel like this online is being served for entertainment and How To videos. Not much of a way to criticize the unknown facts
@Cristinasaav23 I actually do better when i have my phone with me. I think it helpes me to become nore attentive to what is being discussed. If im not sure of something, i can easily look it up and follow the flow of the class discussion
@JeremyUsheroff If as an adult or child, doesn't understand a typical stereotypical representation through media, then it is best to educate them because their opinions or perceptions might be shaped through those messages. Nobody derserves to be ignorant, people are more intellectual than that.
When it comes to Disney movies, children movies and other media, it is crucial to have a conversation with the children afterwards to remove any incorrect images that the kids might have been exposed #lesson11
@Kristin25938333 I dont think many parents at the time that we were growing up watching Disney were aware of the messages. But i think parents are being a bit more aaare and proactive towards the children media #lesson11

I think in the beginning there was a underrepresentation of diverse cultures bur now there is Pocahontas (First Nation), Aladin (Arab), Moana (Hawaiian), Brave (women empowerment), Finding Nemo 2 (mental illness), Mulan ( Asian warrior), princess frog (Black woman). #lesson 11
