In every subject area, students need to write and explain. I'd file these tools under time savers for emergencies or newbies for now.

I didn't necessarily intend to write a negative post about teaching. I don't want to think of it as negative -- I'm concerned. I'm hopeful! But, sometimes, the profession gets in the way.

@Mr_Oldfield Yeah, I have always really digged their perspective. I just hope some of these changes serve as a catalyst to really examine what education *is* in America. There's just no political will to confront these issues; we're too mired in banning books still. 🙄
