The wealthier student gets into an Ivy Plus school at 2.5× the rate. All figures adjusted for test scores.

But the data cuts both ways.

At Harvard and MIT, low-income students are actually over-represented relative to top-1% applicants after controlling for test scores. At selective public universities, the wealth advantage essentially disappears.
