Check out my video showing oil tankers being shepherded under 2nd Narrows Bridge in Vancouver. Unbelievable that Carney continues northern tanker ban. Safety is key with double hulls, 🇨🇦 marine pilot in command & 2 tugs plus incredible oil spill response infrastructure.

The safety around tankers is beyond secure. Tankers commanded by a Canadian pilot in 🇨🇦 waters, secured by 2 tugs & be doubled hulled. In addition, the industry pays for 24/7 stand by response. There have been no major tanker spills in Canada since 1970.

There are 7,500 tankers in the world moving oil every day without issue.

North America had a problem with one 40 years ago with a drunk captain and a single hull.

Let's quit pretending we need to ban tankers for environmental reasons
