@TheOneLanceB PDT pushed me out of equities and into forex and then futures as a “normie”. No PDT is going to benefit serious people who want to learn without the fear of not being able to get back in. It will be easier for people to take their losses quickly instead of holding to avoid PDT.
@PeterLBrandt Too bad no one has invented a decentralized digital ledger that records transactions across a network of computers in immutable, linked blocks, ensuring security through cryptographic hashing and consensus mechanisms that make it extremely difficult to alter past records…
@jonbking@factor_members I took a stab at it and wasn't able to get it right off the bat. The computer has a hard time with defining "rolls up from" when referring to the ADX line. It's great with greater than or less than statements but a statement like "coming from" is vague. I'll try again later.
@factor_members I took the short on a pullback and was very happy/comfortable emotionally until it went up 3% in a day… I was scared out when price started to climb higher in after hours after the big move. Immediately I regretted it but the damage was done… now I need to squash regret! Haha
@factor_members Thanks Peter. I would love to hear more of your “just take my word for it” rules! A single sheet with 10 or so truths of this nature would be great to have on hand!
@factor_members Also, I’m often satisfied with a trade when it proves I was right. Once my ego is satisfied, it’s easy to convince myself to remove the stress of the trade
@factor_members trading has shown me that there is no way I would have held for that long. My idea of a ton of money would have easily gotten me out with a $20,000 profit and with a massive smile on my face… my point is that without a mechanism for entry and exit, you’re lost to boom/bust…
