Lived on a small island for many years, starting to explore the mainland. Don't really know what I want to do but interested in renewable energy and bicycles.
This is how they do it in Italy where campaign supporter Adrian rode through some old railway tunnels near Levanto in the northern part of the country.
The Italians wouldn't waste £7.5M of our money ensuring the opportunities presented by their tunnels could never be realised.
@nebriefing Nothing will turn the general public off taking action more than the government saying it's yet another emergency or crisis.
We are no smarter than yeast. When you stop and understand the majority only care about their own selfish gains. Our course is already set.
@argyllandbute You have to stop calling everything a crisis as it's having a negative effect on people's mental health and causing unnecessary anxiety.
Yes there's a war taking place which is having an effect globally.
We must focus on ways to isolate ourselves from this unfortunate situation.
@trafficscotland Have you actually looked at the weather it's been 12 - 14°C and raining most of this week.
More chance of getting hyperthermia from being soaked than heat stroke from too much sun.
@BoyanSlat Don't be afraid of rules and regulations as long as you are confident you are doing it for the greater good and can prove you are doing no harm.
@BoyanSlat The obvious answer to me is just to get on and do it without asking.
Sort the rest out after.
If anything goes to court, it will be assessed for whether it was done with good or bad intentions regardless of whether it is illegal or not.
@AlastairDalton This is brilliant news and right at a point where I was beginning to feel at breaking point due to the seemingly endless disruption.
@CalMacFerries got so fed up of me complaining they blocked me today on here.
@AlastairDalton@TheScotsman Very short sighted and disappointing. Investment in active travel more than pays for itself due to happier, healthier people and less congested and less worn out roads.
@BBCScotlandNews While I'm charging my electric van off an off grid solar system.
Some say Tiree is the sunniest place in the UK.
We are not moving on to better technology quickly enough. This is ridiculous people being reliant on fuel deliveries to keep moving.
@Ramsay59@AlastairDalton They get collected by a helicopter. It's the only way to get them counted in time otherwise it would take days just to gather them all up. Also done for obvious security reasons.
@DeBroonie@AlastairDalton Not at all I have a good understanding of how the world works and it's definitely a globe.
You shouldn't make assumptions based on so little information.
@AlastairDalton It doesn't seem normal for most of the breakdowns to be engine related. It's a perfect fault that can be easily staged and difficult for any member of the public to verify if it's real or not.
@AlastairDalton I think you should investigate a fuel shortage cover-up as a potential true reason for the current situation. Covered up to prevent panic. Maybe there's something up with my app but a reply I left earlier appears to have been hidden.
@Mick_Sewell2000 Fuel shortage covered up with the excuse of mechanical breakdowns. Notice how they are mostly engine problems and not something the general public can see fail.
@YouveGoat2Laugh @EdwardNRose1@RexKwonDo_@AlastairDalton I'm not angry at anything just observing the bizarre behaviour of people on here when they get worked up and I'm simply playing along with it for the amusement.
What's all the emoji for? Was your finger vibrating so much with rage you pressed it an inappropriate number of times?
@couldasaid@AlastairDalton Nothing misleading just reporting what's happening and unless you live on an island affected you won't understand how bad it is.
@RexKwonDo_@AlastairDalton @YouveGoat2Laugh Try living on a island and you'll understand what negative effects just one cancellation has.
These figures are misleading as they don't represent the difference between routes.
Just 1 cancellation can leave an island like Colonsay without a service for 5 days.
@EdwardNRose1@ArgyllAppliance@AlastairDalton@TheScotsman That may only be 5 missed sailings and no big deal by your metric, but it's devastating for the beginning of the tourists season and the Easter holiday. The current situation is an absolute disaster, and there's no glossing over it, and it's not the first bad year either.
