We meet at midnight - an ode to those who came (and fell) before us during the height of the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
Huge thanks to @peculiarjulia for publishing my piece in her stellar journal, Lit Up!

@VampScriptures@PEspresso142688@LoganCook30@ScreamMovies@Kalshi Skeet Ulrich absolutely, what a babe. Matthew Lillard, er, not exactly a panty dropper. Hottest characters: Skeet, Barrera, Jack Quaid is hot in a weird way, Olyphant, Panettiere in S4 (def not S6.)
@VampScriptures@LoganCook30@ScreamMovies@Kalshi Oh I didn’t know that, I knew Scream 2 had a vague storyline arc undertone that mimicked Troy, and Sidney was a real-life Cassandra. Scream 2 has so many layers, the GOAT film of the franchise for me.

Maiden win (I clocked second place last month) in Vocal’s latest contest result.
Elated to be recognized again, plus the $200 is a nice bonus.
Best platform for poetry/fiction rn!

@Lollll147@chanelstoned When she gets the first Stu facetime call, it comes from Woodsboro. Either that first call was actually Stu and the others weren’t, or the GF walking out of the burning Macher house is someone else, perhaps the real Leslie Macher.
@Lollll147@chanelstoned Nup, Sydney and the fam see it on the news *after* she’s already offed Jessica in a pretty brutal catfight. Then the film cuts back a few hours to when it happened, and Ghostface walks away from the burning house. So this GF was in Woodsboro the entire time.
@VampScriptures@LoganCook30@ScreamMovies@Kalshi Well, there was a homoerotic subtext between those two. Neve Campbell spoke about it at a fan convention once. Though I think Stu was more into Billy than Billy was into Stu.
@yunotalksscream GF invading her home isn’t the third act, it’s where Kraig Dane’s character is killed and unmasked by Tatum. this happens about 35 mins into the movie. The third act happens in Jessica’s house.
@SidneyPres26154@ScreamMovies@kevwilliamson@ParamountPics Scream 3 was the best finish for Sidney, and she is definitely not at her happiest in this film. It’s very dark, she’s out shooting at ghostface in the first 25 minutes, it is very much trauma-based.
@Djoko_UTD She is the only player in history to win a slam from qualifying, that’s TEN MATCHES over three weeks under enormous pressure. It’s more so injuries that have derailed her, certainly not talent.
@d4ng3rv3st@ScoobyScream She’s not, but she gaslights the two asylum workers into believing she is, thus it’s more a cult of fake Leslie Macher than a mini-cult of Stu.
@MatthewLia4ever@Archive9746 There are also a zillion references to Texas Chainsaw Massacre in the movie. It’s playing at the cinema, one of the high school play students is even dressed like Leatherface. I think this is a clue for ppl that Lface wore other ppl’s faces but we never saw his true face ala Jess
@MatthewLia4ever@Archive9746 Ethan Embry’s character kills him, as both he and Kraig Dane’s characters are gaslit by Jessica into thinking she’s Leslie Macher. They don’t know she has a son. Embry boasts about it in the third act and Jessica shoots him in the head. Lucas is a red herring also.
