Let's digest the following:
If and when Mads Pedersen finishes La Vuelta in Madrid on Sunday, Lidl-Trek will become the first men's cycling team to win the points classification in all three Grand Tours of a cycling season.
We knew Pedersen was brilliant; he has been for a decade. But the fact that they were able to build Milan within this system to become the Tour de France green jersey holder, without harming either of their interests in any way, is phenomenal.
They deserve this success; they deserve to go down in the history books.
